王建豹 Ong Kean Par (1922 – 1992)
建豹 Kean Par is the son of 王叔金 Ong Seok Kim and 邱素枝 Khoo Saw Kee. 建豹 Kean Par was born in Sitiawan, Dindings District, Perak State. He studied in Nan Hwa High School in Sitiawan. He also completed Form 3 in Anglo-Chinese School in Kg. Koh, Sitiawan.
He worked as a clerk and shop assistant in the family retail business. During the Japanese occupation, 建豹 Kean Par helped the family to manage its rubber plantation in Betong, Thailand. He was apprehended by the Japanese and tortured. After the Japanese occupation, he worked as a manager of rubber plantation for public-listed companies for over two (2) decades in various parts of Malaysia including Senai in Johor State, Kuala Lipis in Pahang State and Taiping, Parit and Ipoh in Perak State. He retired and settled down in Sitiawan in 1975.
建豹 Kean Par married Tan Ah Hwa (Lucy) in 1953. They have no children of their own. But they adopted Geok Yen (Grace) from 建豹 Kean Par’s brother, Kean Pang (12th son); and Chong Eng (Charles) from brother Kean Khow (8th son). Both Geok Yen and Chong Eng are married and have children of their own. Geok Yen lives in Melbourne, Australia and Chong Eng lives and works in the Klang Valley.
建豹 Kean Par passed away in 1992 at the age of 70 while Ah Hwa passed away seven (7) years earlier, at the age of 58.
